The Artscape Theatre Centre offers Easter entertainment over the school holidays. The program for the next two weeks includes an ABBA concert, intriguing drama, ballet and children's theatre.

Tales of Little Grey Rabbit – 23 March to 5 April 2012

Alison Uttley's well-known character, Little Grey Rabbit, comes to life in this children's production. Come and help Little Grey Rabbit rescue her friends in the Theatre Foyer. Tickets cost R50.

Brothers in Blood – 27 March to 14 April 2012

Mike van Graan's award-winning play at the Arena is an explosive drama about Jewish, Muslim and Christian relations set in Cape Town in the late 1990s and against the background of PAGAD's activities against crime and the drug trade. Tickets range from R65 to R85.

The Voice of Azania – 30 & 31 March 2012

An innovative music concert that tells the life story of Gugulethu performer, Tebogo "Teba" Shumba. The show also includes well-known Reggae songs and celebrates pioneers such as Bob Marley, Lucky Dube and Peter Tosh. Tickets cost R50.

Celebrating Tchaikovsky – 5 April 2012

Dancers who participated in Cape Town City Ballet's Celebrating Tchaikovsky workshop demonstrate their progress at the Opera House following three days of intensive coaching by the company's dancers. Tickets cost R50.

ABBA Voulez Vous – Mamma Mia Tour – 7 April 2012

Following the huge success of the Mamma Mia! stage show and film, Voulez Vous have produced their 20th anniversary concert to include hits from this international phenomenon. This brand new production at the Opera House is a collaboration of video projections of Abba, as well as scenes from the smash hit film Mamma Mia! cleverly merged into Voulez Vous' own live interpretations of Abba's hits. Voulez Vous is the world's foremost Abba tribute production and captures the sheer brilliance of Abba's music. Tickets range from R90 to R420.

A Midsummer Night's Dream – 10 to 21 April 2012

This Grade 11 English work offers a feast of magic, humour and spectacle. This new production is directed by award-winning Shakespeare aficionado, Fred Abrahamse, and features a cast of South Africa's finest classical actors. A Midsummer Night's Dream is undoubtedly one of Shakespeare's most popular and accessible plays and is the perfect introduction for young theatre-goers to the Bard. Tickets cost R40.

Giselle – 13 to 22 April 2012

Prima ballerina of the English National Ballet, Daria Klimentova, and her partner Vadim Muntagirov return to Cape Town as guests artists of Cape Town City Ballet for one of the most popular of all classical ballets at the Opera House, portraying the tragic tale of a young girl who loses her mind when jilted by her fickle lover. French dancer Maxime Quiroga also returns to dance the role of Albrecht at selected performances. Tickets range from R100 to R300.
